This Cookie Policy explains how TouchPoints Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the TryPoint AI Virtual Try-On service ("Service") and the trypoint.ai website.
This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website or use an online service. They are widely used to make services work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide analytics information. Similar technologies include web beacons (pixel tags), local storage, and device fingerprinting, all of which are covered by this policy.
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies. These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. They include: Session ID (maintains your session during a try-on interaction, session duration, TryPoint); CSRF token (protects against cross-site request forgery, session duration, TryPoint); Shopify cookies (required for Shopify app functionality and checkout, varies, Shopify); and Consent preferences (stores your cookie consent choices, 12 months, TryPoint).
3.2 Functional Cookies. These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization. They include: Language preference (remembers your language selection, 12 months, TryPoint); Try-on preferences (remembers display and interaction settings, 30 days, TryPoint); and Widget configuration (stores widget display settings for Merchants, 12 months, TryPoint).
3.3 Analytics Cookies. These cookies help us understand how users interact with the Service so we can improve it. They include: Client ID (identifies unique visitors for analytics, 24 months, Google Analytics); Session tracking (tracks page views and interactions within a session, 30 minutes, Google Analytics); and Try-on analytics (measures try-on engagement, completion rates, and conversions, 30 days, TryPoint).
3.4 Marketing Cookies. These cookies are used to deliver relevant advertisements and measure campaign effectiveness. They are only set with your consent. They include: Ad tracking (measures advertising effectiveness, 90 days, Google Ads); Retargeting (enables retargeting campaigns for Merchants, 90 days, Meta/Facebook); and Conversion tracking (tracks conversions from ad campaigns, 90 days, various).
Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages. We do not control these cookies. The main third-party cookie providers are: Google (Analytics, Ads, AI services); Shopify (app platform, checkout); and Meta/Facebook (retargeting pixel, if enabled by Merchant).
5.1 Consent Banner. When you first visit the Service or our website, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. You can: Accept All (enable all cookie categories); Reject Non-Essential (only allow strictly necessary cookies); or Customize (choose which categories to enable). You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the website footer.
5.2 Browser Settings. Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically: view what cookies are stored on your device; delete some or all cookies; block cookies from specific sites; or block all cookies (note: this may impair Service functionality).
5.3 Opt-Out Tools. Google Analytics Opt-Out: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. General Ad Opt-Out (US): visit the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info. General Ad Opt-Out (EU): visit the European Digital Advertising Alliance at youronlinechoices.eu.
5.4 Do Not Track. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is currently no industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where required by applicable law.
When the TryPoint widget is embedded on a Merchant's Shopify store, we place limited cookies necessary for: delivering the virtual try-on functionality; tracking try-on usage for the Merchant's analytics; and remembering your session during the try-on process.
The Merchant's own cookie policy governs additional cookies on their store. Our cookie consent requirements apply to cookies we place through the TryPoint widget.
7.1 European Economic Area and United Kingdom. Under the ePrivacy Directive (implemented via national laws such as the UK PECR), we require your consent before placing non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.
7.2 California. Under the CCPA/CPRA, cookies that collect personal information are subject to California privacy rights. We do not use cookies to "sell" or "share" personal information as defined under CCPA/CPRA. See our Privacy Policy for details on your California rights.
7.3 Brazil. Under the LGPD, we obtain consent before placing non-essential cookies and provide transparency about data collection through cookies.
7.4 Canada. Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws, we obtain meaningful consent for cookie-based data collection, with the type of consent (express or implied) depending on the sensitivity of the data.
Cookie data is retained for the duration specified in the sections above. Analytics data derived from cookies is retained in aggregated form for up to 24 months.
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via our cookie consent banner.
